A Sudden Death at Sumner.
Sumner, Iowa, June 4.—-Thomas McMeekin was stricken with apoplexy on the street in front of the post office, falling to the pavement and only living a short time after he was carried home. He was the father of William McMeekin, a prominent business man of this place. His wife and four children survive him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Union Mound Cemetery in Sumner and was born February 7, 1828 and died June 1, 1904.
