Sargent officiating for Charles "Chuck" V. Heinemann, age 59, who died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa following complications of pneumonia. Burial was at the Fremont Cemetery in rural Tripoli.
Charles Virgil Heinemann was the son of Lawrence and Delores (Buls) Heinemann and was born January 22, 1953 in Waterloo. He was baptized and later confirmed on March 19, 1967 at St. John's United Church of Christ at Siegel in rural Waverly, Iowa. He was a 1971 graduate of Tripoli High School. On August 17, 1974 he was united in marriage with Linda Hills at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. Chuck worked at Kramer-Crittenden Produce for a time, was a twenty-nine year employee of Sara Lee in New Hampton where he was the business agent of the B.C. & T. union, worked at Dick's Petroleum of Tripoli, was a co-owner of the Hub Again, and recently enjoyed driving bus for Hawkeye Stages.
He was a member of the Wapsie Sportsmen's Club, volunteered on the chain gang at Tripoli High School football games, especially loved being a line coach at the high school volleyball games, was a variety show participant, volunteered as an assistant coach of the boys' basketball team, and was awarded a Friend of Education by the Tripoli Schools in 2006. He also enjoyed playing golf, bowling, softball, and his Saturday morning Schafskopf game (a favorite old German card game).
Chuck is survived by his wife Linda; two daughters Jodi (Mike Morey) Heinemann of Sumner, Iowa and Jill (Charlie) Nuss of Denver, Iowa; five grandchildren Katelynn and Connor Piehl and Bailey, Jordan, and Tyler Nuss; his mother Delores Heinemann of Tripoli; two brothers, Allen (Janelle) Heinemann of Sarasota, Florida and Lynn (April) Heinemann of New Lisbon, Iowa; and a sister-in law Jan Heinemann of Waverly, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers Gene and Lowell Heinemann.
