Ervin E. Crouse, 103, of Boone, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 28, in the Eastern Star Masonic Home Chapel of Boone.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, at the Eastern Star Masonic Home Chapel from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Ervin was born on August 22, 1908 in Boone, the son of Fred and Anna (Barth) Crouse.
Ervin was married to Katherine Irene Varak in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the couple had been married for 76 years.
Ervin was a farmer, who has owned a farm in Worth Township for 76 years.
Ervin is preceded in death by his wife in 2010; daughter, Judith (Judy) Buche in 1998; granddaughter, Linda Graff; two brothers and four sisters.
Surviving Ervin is his son, James E. Crouse (Silvia), of Hendersonville, N.C.; three grandsons, Donald Crouse (Amy), David Buche and Robert Buche (Laurie); five great-grandchildren; John Buche of Boone; three nephews and five nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church or the Eastern Star Masonic Home.
