Lonnie L. Dill, age 71, of Boone, after a 6 ½ year brave battle with lung cancer and COPD, passed peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on October 1, 2012 at the Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 6, at the Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home, Fifth & Story Streets in Boone, Iowa.
Burial will be in the Squire - Boone Cemetery, Southeast of Boone. Full Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Boone Veterans Council.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, at the Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., with the family present to greet friends at this time.
In memory of Lonnie, memorials may be directed to the family to be used at their discretion.
