W.W. "Bud" Froning, 69, former grain dealer and resident of Garrison, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness.Surviving are his wife, Blanche; two sons, Dan Froning of Alamosa, Colo., and Dr. Thomas Froning of Littleton, Colo.; two daughters, Sylvia Mundt of Ripon, Calif., and Thera Halva of Nevada, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Van Hook of Mantela, Calif.
Memorial service at the United Methodist Church, Garrison, at 1:30 p.m. Friday. A private burial service is planned. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at Campbell-Russell's. Memorials to the donors' choice may be given.
