BRAYTON, Ia. Feb 7. – Lincoln Akers, living about three miles east of Brayton, had the misfortune to lose the house he was living in, with all household goods. At noon, while getting dinner, the house took fire between the lower and upper rooms where the chimney goes through the floor. They only succeeded in removing a small portion of the furniture before the house burned to the ground. The house belonged to his father, Ralph Akers, Sr.
