Exira Department

Mr. Charles E. Hawk and Miss
Hattie Minser were married at the
residence of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Minser, on Troublesome
Creek, five miles south-east of
Exira, on Tuesday, October 12th,
Rev. O. T. Nichols, of Exira officiating.
There were about thirty of the
near relatives present. A bountiful
dinner was served, and all seemed to
enter into the spirit of the joyous
occasion. A number of valuable presents
were given to the bride and
groom by their admiring friends
They will live, for the present, with
the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.
C. Hawk. May the richest of heavens
blessings rest upon them.

Note: Parents of Hattie E. Minser were Samuel Minser and Phebe Catherine Wright.
Parents of Charles Elmer Hawk were Charles Conrad Hawk and Hannah Maria "Annie" Hamlin.
