At his home in Wells township Friday, June 15th, Esquire J. M. Shurlock, of congestion, aged 63 years.

Esquire Surclock was on the oldest settlers in the county, having moved to what is now Wells township in 1844, where he has resided ever since, and has been a Justice of the Peace in that township for years.
