John Zinn, a well known citizen of Mystic, accidentally killed himself while administering chloroform to a dog. The fumes affected him and he died before medical aid could reach him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Feb. 13, 1855 and died Aug. 23, 1916. He is buried in the Highland Cemetery.
