Mr. and Mrs. I. K.
Leach Observe 59th
Wedding A'niver'y
An unusual wedding anniversary was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Isaac K. Leach at their home in Moravia Sunday, June 27. They were married June 30, 1878, and on the Sunday nearest that date,
so as to accomodate relatives who could not come during the week, they had a happy family gathering about them and many friends offered their best wishes as they were rounding out their fifty-nine years of married life. This fine old couple is still active, interested
in their friends, and enjoying their years of repose after doing their full part in meeting the problems and changes that come during
such a long married life.
Mr. Leach was born June 8, 1849, so he has recently passed his 88th milestone. Mrs. Leach was born May 24, 1860, and is now 77. He was
too young to enter the Civil War early, but was on the verge of getting into the army when Lee surrendered. They have been exemplary citizens of their country all these years, giving it the
service of upright living, industry, and fine character. They have been affiliated with the United Brethren church.
