HIATT—WAILES
A wedding that came as quite a surprise to their many friends was that of Miss Vera E. Hiatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Hiatt, and Dorin V.
Wailes, son of Mrs. C. Jones, which took place at six o'clock Wednesday evening, June 22. The ceremony was performed at the Methodist parsonage
in Mystic by the Rev. J. A. Wilson. The bride was attired in a beautiful flesh colored georgette crepe gown. They were accompanied by Miss Frona Wailes and Mr. Bayard Neff. Both Mr. and Mrs. Wailes have attended the Moravia High School and are popular and respected young people of the community.
Immediately following the ceremony the bride and groom returned to the parental Hiatt home where a lovely two-course supper had been prepared
by the mother of the bride. The color scheme of pink and white were carried out in the decorations. About thirty invited guests were present.
The young couple will make their home in Centerville where the groom is employed. They will have the congratulations and best wishes of many schoolmates, friends and relatives.
