MARTIN VANDIKE, far., Sec. 15; P.O. Centerville; born July 24, 1841, in Boone Co., Mo.; in 1848 came to Appanoose Co.; owns eighty acres of land. Enlisted in 1862, in Co. K, 1st M.S.M.; served six months. Married Rachel McCoy in 1869; she was born in 1843 in Ohio; have two children - Matilda and Julia. Democrat.
