BURMESTER, BISPING, KRUGER, SIEVERS, STAGGEMEIER

Mrs. Louise Burmester passed away at her home in Wheatland on Thursday morning, Jan. 27th, at 5:15 o'clock at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 18 days.

Louise Bisping was born July 9th, 1872 at Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late William and Margaretha (nee Kruger) Bisping. Later the family moved to Peotone, Ill., and in 1883 she came to Union City township, Allamakee county, Ia., with her parents and where she attended school.

On April 18, 1886 she was confirmed at St. John's Church in Union City twp. by the late Jacob Maierly, her husband being in the same class and confirmed the same day.

When 17 years of age she wen to Elmhurst, Ill., where she worked for 15 years, also working about five years at Wheaton, Ill., and in 1910 returned to Iowa.

On May 25th, 1919 she was married to William Burmester by the late Rev. Bizer. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. Carson (Margaret) Sievers, of Kenyon, Minn.; Louis and Elmer, at home; and Mrs. Armin (Nora) Staggemeier of this vicinity; six grand children; four brothers, William, Louis, Fred and Edward Bisping, all of Faribault, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband March 6th, 1948, and by three brothers and four sisters; and also leaves to mourn her loss a large number of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Burmester was a faithful member of St. John's Ladies Aid, and Church, always was a cheerful giver to her church, and had many friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 30th, at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2 o'clock for St. John's Lutheran and Reformed Church, the Rev. E. Roth officiating. Interment was made beside her husband in the Wheatland cemetery, and pall bearers were Leo Fruechte, John Wuennecke, Walter Burmester, Henry, Karl and Albert Vonderohe.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were: Mr. Wm. Bisping, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bisping, Mrs. Wm. Hachfeld, of Fairibault, Minn.; Mr and Mrs. Carson Sievers and daughter of Kenyon, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Burmester, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Burmester, Mrs. Alma Clark and daughter of Caledonia, Minn.
