Frank Wachter, who was a resident of Harpers Ferry for nearly 40 years, passed away at Waukon Saturday, the funeral being held Wednesday.

Mr. Wachter was marshall and weighmaster here for a number of years and was known for his accurate weighing.

He leaves a large number of relatives, both here and in Cherry Mound, who mourn the loss of Uncle Frank.
