Saturday, February 20, 1915, Page 7Last Sunday evening at 6:30 in this city occurred the marriage of Miss Alice L. O'Connell, of Holt townshp and Walter E. Jones, of south of town, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Father Dollard of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
The couple were accompanied by a wedddng party of ten and were attended by Miss Marie Cronin as bridesmaid and Guss O'Connell as groomsman.
After the ceremony the party went to the Johnson Cafe where a wedding dinner was served. The happy couple departed on train No. 1 for Omaha where they will visit for a short time and will return and be at home to their friends after March 1st at the farm of the groom about three miles south of Corning.
The bride's wedding gown was a very pretty affair of wistaria brocaded silk, trimmed in embroidered chiffon while her bridesmaid wore a blue gown. The bride is well known in Corning, having been for a number of years a member of the force of the Biggar Co.Store where she won many friends. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. O'Connell of south of Corning and is a very capable young lady. The groom is a son of Daniel Jones, residing a short distance south of town and one of the well-to-do young farmers of his community. The many friends of the young people extend congratulations.
