Miss Annie Mooney of Brooks and William Smith of Corning were married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. I.T, Homan, Christmas evening at 6 o'clock, Rev. A.Y. Cupp, officated and about fifty relatives and friends were present.
After the ceremony and congratulations a splendid supper was served and some time passed in social enjoyment. A number of useful and beautiful gifts were presented to the bride and groom and the occasion was an unusually joyous one.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith will make their home in Corning, the former being in the livey business here. He has bought Frank Heaton's house, but will not get possession until March 1. Thursday evening the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Smith, gave an enjoyable reception in honor of the marriage and about sixty were present.
