Notes for Mabel Golinvuaux
Sister Mary Francis Clare was born on March 30, 1889 in Rock Valley, Iowa and died at Marion Hall, February 6, 1978. She entered Mount Carmel on May 24, 1915 from St Joseph Parish, Waterloo. She made her first profession of vows October 4, 1917 and her perpetual vows on August 15, 1920. She served in the ministry of education on both the elementary and secondary levels. Her missions included in the Chigago area: St Dorothy, St Plus, Sacred Heart, St Ferdinand and St Callistus. In Iowa she was missioned at St Ellen, St Mary High School, Emmetsburg: ST Joseph Academy, St Raphael and Wahlert High School, Dubuque: Corpus Christi, Fort Dodge: Holy Name, Marchus: Heelan, Sioux City: Sacred Heart, Boone: Rapid City, South Dakota: Hempstead, New York. In 1969 she came to the Motherhouse to work in the sewing department and in June 1974, she moved to Marion Hall. Rejoice that Sister Mary Francis Clar has merited the reward of Heaven for her goodness. BVM Center, Mount Carmel, Dubuque, IA. NEWSPAPER CLIPPING Surviving are a brother, Herbert Golinveaux of Antioch, CA, and a sister Genevieve O'Connor of Hayward, CA. The Egelhof-Casper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |

certificate it states his middle name as Gustavus On Herbert's Registration Card for World War I, dated September 11, 1918, it states that Herbert was a student in Dubuque, Iowa, that his hair is black and his eyes brown. He is of medium height with a slender build. Herbert had to purchase a new pair of shoes each month due to his occupation as mailman. Adrienne was born in Lens, Pas-de-Calais, France. The Pas-de-Calais county is in the north eastern part of France near Belgium. They were occupied by the Germans during World War I and lost their home and took refuge in the south of France. Adrienne and her family came to America in 1919.
