Vinton — Miss Darlene Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Williams, and Everett P. Yerkes, motor machinist's mate third class, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Yerkes, were married Monday evening at the bride's parent's home by Rev. Ernest Shaffer. Attending the couple were Vern Yerkes, brother of the groom, and Dorothy Williams, sister of the bride. The bride is employed at the Burd Hardware store. The groom recently returned from serving in the southwest Pacific.

When Miss Darlene Williams, daughter of the Dave Williams of Vinton, was married Monday night to Everett P. Yerkes, Navy motor machinist's mate third class, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Yerkes, also of Vinton, she wore a wedding gown made by her mother and sisters-in-law from a parachute which the groom brought back from the south Pacific. The bride is one of triplet daugthers of Mr. and Mrs. Williams.

Kathryn Lahue Weds Spencer Yerkes Feb. 5
Kathryn Lahue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Lahue, and Spencer Yerkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Yerkes, were married on Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:15 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents by the Rev. O. E. Barron of the Christian church.
Darlene Holmes was bridesmaid and Kenny Wheeler was best man. Those attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. John Yerkes, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Lahue, Carolyn and Sandra and Mrs. Walter Lahue of Vinton.
