Leroy Twp, Benton County
A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Shuck, northwest of town, last Wednesday evening at five o’clock, when Miss Hattie M. Shuck was joined in marriage to Lawrence W. Traer of Vinton, one of the well known employees of the Vinton Eagle office. The ceremony took place in the open air, beneath the shade of large trees which were festooned with garlands of flowers that formed a beautiful bower especially befitting the occasion. A large numbor of guests were present to congratulate the couple and assist in making the event a bright and memorable one to both bride and groom. A cosy cottage in Vinton is awaiting the worthy couple, where they will soon be comfortably settled and where they will be “at home” to their numerous friends not only at the county seat but also scattered throughout the county, all of whom are wishing the twain a long and happy career.
