Last Thursday evening was the event of the marriage of Robert Sheets and Miss Tava Guinn, two of the most respected young people in this community. They were married at the residence of C. B. Greenice, brother-in-law of the bride, where she has been residing for several years. The bride is the daughter of H. Gunn, one of the most prosperous, intelligent and respected farmers in Benton county. The guests and friends attending were quite numerous, and the gifts presented many and valuable, and as follows: Groom to bride:, one pair of set bracelets and set of silverware; H. Guinn, bride's father, one large gorgeously bound family Bible; G. W. Sheets, groom's father, 1 set silver knives and forks;. Mr. and Mrs. C. Maholm, 1 set silver table spoons; Miss Jessie Bangs, tidy; Miss Ida Bassett, of Blairstown, a beautiful hand painted call lily; Henry Guinn, 1 silver card receiver, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Greenlee, 1 Bible stand; Mr. and Mrs. Stuckenbruck, 1 silver fruit dish; Miss Flora Bickford, a beautiful kensington embroidered cushion; E. Bickford, copy More's poems; Fanny Filkins, tidy; Dan and Clara Filkins, perfume box; Mr. and Mrs. Riley, Reinbeck, Iowa, silver fruit dish; Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Guinn, set of vases; Miss Ida Hoeffer, Winona, Minnesota, silver butter knife and sugar spoon; Mabel Greenlee, watch holder; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sheets, silver cup and saucer; L. W. Hartman, glass water pitcher. The bride and groom have the best wishes of THE INDEPENDENT for their future prosperity and unalloyed happiness.
