their home
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ryan south of this city celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on last Friday, October 28th and the day was a very memorable one. Eighty guests gathered at their home and spent the day with them. Well filled baskets were taken by the guests and the dinner was served at once o'clock by the sisters and cousins of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan. Following the dinner the time was spent in visiting. Several of the guests present were present at the wedding 30 years ago. This being their pearl anniversary they were presented with a set of pearl handled knives and forks by the assembled guests. All the children of this most worthy couple were present and relatives from Chelsea, Tama, Marshalltown, Grinnell, Brooklyn and Belle Plaine enjoyed the hospitality of the Ryan home at this time.
