MARRIED FIFTY YEARS
MR. AND MRS. JAMES PIRIE Norway, March 14. – (Special) – Mr. and Mrs. James Pirie will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary here tomorrow. A dinner will be given in the R.C.M.P.S. hall at 6 p.m. with 135 guests present. Mr. Pirie was born in Banff, Scotland in 1848, and Mrs. Pirie was born in Scotch Grove, Ia., in 1859. They were married at Scotch Grove and have lived in Benton county ever since. They are the parents of seven children, who are as follows: Will Pirie of Springville; Mrs. F. M. Cass, Dubuque; Mrs. John Fries, Benton Harbor, Mich.; A.L. Pirie, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Julia Werniny, Norway; George Pirie, Sioux City; and Ethel Pirie, Cedar Rapids.
