Rev. A.J. Nie Takes a Bride
Miss Dorothy Kimm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kimm of Norway, and the Rev Arthur J. Nie, son of Mrs. Kathryn Kuhn, 922 Ninth street SW, Cedar Rapids, were united in marriage at 8 p. m., Thursday, Aug 6, 1934, in the little chapel of St. Paul's Methodist church in Cedar Rapids, Ia. The Rev Arthur A Brooks performed the single ring ceremony in the presence of members of the immediate families and a few friends. Attending the couple were Miss Mable Schlotterback and Robert Melberg.
The bride wore a tan crepe floor dress with brown accessories, and her corsage was a blue delphinium and roses. Miss Schlotterback wore a black crepe dress with blue trim. Her corsage was also of blue delphinium and roses.
The bride attended the Norway schools graduating from high school with the class of 1934.
Rev Nie has been pastor of the Methodist churches at Norway and Walford for the past two years. He has made many friends here by his ernest and untiring work, especially with the young people of the community. Until he is assigned to a new pastorate the couple will make their home at 922 Ninth street SW in Cedar Rapids.
