Arthur D. Heck of the Navy, a Former Blairstown Boy, Wins a New Bride
Relatives of the groom have received announcements of the marriage of Miss Anna M. Neibuhr of New York City and Mr. Arthur D. Heck, formerly of Blairstown, at 5 o'clock on Sunday in the presence of the bride’s immediate family.
The bride who is a stranger here has a splendid position as stenographer in a bank in the Woolworth building.
The groom is the youngest son of Mr. E. D. Heck, and was born here where he spent practically all his life until the outbreak of the late war when he hurried to enlist, being one of the first from here to enter the service. Entering the navy he shipped, on board the U .S. S. Calgoa, as fireman and by earnest effort was rapidly promoted till at present he is Chief Engineer’s mate on the Calgoa.
For the past four months the ship has been laid up in the Brooklyn Navy Yards undergoing repairs.
The Press and many friends unite in sending greetings and good wishes to the happy pair.
