Bascom - Hartkemeyer
Helen Bascom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bascom, and Alfred Hartkemeyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hartkemeyer, were married Tuesday at 2 p.m., Jan. 21, at St. Andrew's Lutheran parsonage, the Rev. William Ullerich officiating. They were attend by Mr. and Mrs. Eldo Hartkemeyer.
The bride graduated from the Vinton high school in 1936. The bridegroom attended Van Horne public school and has been associated with his father in farming.
The bride wore a blue street length dress with black accessories with a shoulder corsage of yellow roses and sweet peas. Her attendant wore can??? rose dress and shoulder corsage.
At 6:30 the immediate family members were served a wedding dinner in the home of the bride's parents. The table decorations were pink and white.
