Van Horne Boy Is Wed February 20
Edward Boisen of This Place and Lillian Stein of Keystone United for Life.
Edward Boisen of this place and Lillian Stein of Keystone were united in the holy bonds of matrimony Tuesday, February 20, at the German Lutheran rectory in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Julius Deckmann. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Judd of Keystone. Wm. Boisen father of the groom, was also a witness of the ceremony.
The bride was dressed in a green suit with a green hat to match and carried a large bouquet of roses. The groom was clad in dark blue.
After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the Montrose Hotel where a wedding supper was served. The happy couple left the next day for Denver, Colo., where they will make their future home. As they passed through here at five o’clock on their way west, a number of their friends hurled rice at them as they stood on the observation platform.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boisen and is one of Van Horne’s most prominent young men. He has spent almost his entire life in this community and is well known thruout the entire south slope. The bride is a daughter of Chas. Stein of Keystone and is one of that little city’s most lovable young ladies. The many friends and acquaintances of these young people unite in wishing them many years of wedded bliss.

Young People of Van Horne Wed Wednesday.
H. A. Boisen and Nina S. Neil united in Marriage by Rev. Dole Wednesday eve.
Rev. H. L. Dole pronounced the words that united H. A. Boisen and Nina S. Neil for life at the home of Mrs. Neil Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. The ring ceremony was used.
Promptly at 7 the bridal couple took places under a bar of white between two panels of smilax and were pronounced man and wife. They were unattended and the ceremony took place in the presence of a few of the immediate relatives of the bride and groom.
The bride was beautifully dressed in a gown white chiffon taffeta and white tulle and wore a white veil draped from the shoulders. The groom was clad in a blue worsted suit.
After the ceremony, a five course dinner served to the guests and the happy couple departed on the 1 o’clock train for Chicago where they will spend their honeymoon. They will be at home after February 15.
The bride is a milliner of this place and is highly esteemed and honored as one of Van Horne’s most prominent young women. In the few years that she has lived here, she has made a host of friends. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boisen and is one of the most prominent young men of the city. He is the the proprietor of the Square Deal dray line.
The many friends of this estimable young couple unite extending congratulations and in wishing the young people long and happy years of marital bliss.
Those from out of town who attended the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Weeks of Cedar Rapids.
