The people in this picture are Aurelia (Chase) Wilson (1858-1905) and
Matthew Wilson (1858-1917). This photo was probably taken about the time
they were married in 1881.
Matthew Wilson was a farmer, blacksmith, and inventor. He had been born in Ontario, Canada but resided most of his life in Homer Township near the town of Rogersville. In 1910 he moved to a farm on the Cedar River in Taylor Township. Both Matthew and Aurelia are buried in Gnagy Cemetery. |
