Vinton, Feb. 12, - Mrs. Stickney died at her home in this city Monday at about 1 o'clock p.m. Mrs. Stickney had been in good health and was at church Sunday both morning and evening. At about 1 o'clock in the night that evening she was taken sick and suffered severely until the end came on Monday. Mrs. Stickney, whose maiden name was Kate C. Boynton, was born at Jay, N.Y., Aug. 14, 1848. She was married to Sherman Stickney in 1871 and came to Vinton the same year. Mr. Stickney was engaged in the lumber business a number of years. He died about six years ago. Mrs. Stickney was one of the noble women of the town and was a leading member of the Baptist church. She leaves surviving her one son, Eugene of Crook, Colo., and Miss Ella of this place.
