Mildred Marie Speckner
Shellsburg- Mildred Marie Speckner, 71 died Wednesday evening, July 4, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
She was born July 10, 1929 at Toledo to Omer Lowell and Grace (McFarland) Michael. On November 17, 1947 she married Dale Speckner at Tama.
The couple moved to Shellsburg about 30 years ago. Mildred was a member of the Oak Grove Church...
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Speckner of Shellsburg; her son Lonnie Speckner and wife, Rhonda also of Shellsburg; two daughters, Maria Behounek and husband, Lary of Tama, and Terri Williams and husband,Dale of Clutier; her sister, Fern Edwards and husband, Wayne of Marshalltown, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2001 at Oak Grove Church with Pastor Larry Rodgers officiating. Private committal services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg.
