Bertha Catherine Snyder
Vinton - Mrs. Bertha Catherine Snyder, 68, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Pingenot, southwest of Vinton of a heart attack; has been in poor health five months; member of First Baptist church in Cedar Rapids and Royal Neighbor lodge; born at Yankton, S. D., May 18, 1877; married to William T. Snyder at Sioux City in 1893; besides Mrs. Pingenot she leaves two sons, Howard, Reno, Nev., and Ralph Snyder, Atlantic; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Lucille; funeral at the Alcorn-Miller funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m.; burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Deborah Snyder
Shellsburg Call: Deborah Garretson was born March 29, 1829, in Bedford County, Pa. Was united in marriage to David Snyder August 20, 1857 in Bedford Couny, Pa. To this union was born three children: Hannah, who proceded her to the better land at the age of 12 years. Left to mourn her loss, two children, M.G. Synder and Mrs. Mary Fish; also two brothers Edwin Garretson of Marion and George Garretson of California; one granddaughter Sylvia Johnson; two grandsons Ancel Synder and Rollie Fish; one great grandson, Warren Johnson, beside a host of other relatives and friends.
In 1864 they moved from Pennsylvia to Iowa. Since the death of her husband in 1892 she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Mary Fish till her death.
At the age of 18 years she was united with the German Baptish church and has remained a faithful member until her death.
She departed this life July 31, aged, 82 years, 4 months, 2 days
