John J. Scollon
John J. Scollon, 82, a longtime resident of Van Horne and a resident of Cedar Rapids since 1948, died at a Cedar Rapids nursing home at 7 p.m. Saturday..He was born at Belle Plaine, Dec. 24, 1870. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Mary Simmons of Polson, Mont. The body is at the Brady funeral home. Funeral services will be announced later.

Scollon Services
Services for John J. Scollon, Cedar Rapids resident since 1948 and resident of Van Horne many years, who died Saturday, will be conducted in Immaculate Conception church at Van Horne at 9:30 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Francis J. Churchill. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery at Van Horne.
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William H. Schulte will recite the Rosary at the Brady Mortuary at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the mortuary.
