Talitha Ann Robbins
Talitha Ann Taylor, born in Decatur County, Indiana, August 10, 1830, was united in marriage to W.C. Robbins Feb 4 1850. To this union five children of which three remain to mourn her loss, Mr J.F. Robbins, Mrs. Mary J. Speake and Mr. W.S. Robbins. She was preceded to the glory world by her two children, Alvin and Nancy E.; also her husband who died May 28, 1900.
Mrs. Robbins was a member of the United Brethern Church since early in life, a devote christian woman, kind and affectionate to her family, and a friend to all that knew her. In her death the children loose a loving mother, the community a friend, the church a consistant worker, but what is their loss is her gain. Her sufferings are over, her labors are ended, she rests with her master forever safe.
The funeral services were held over the body of Talitha Robbins, were held Friday August 3rd, at 11:oo o'clock at the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren church. The services were conducted by REv. S.S. Smick of Vinton. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
