Burial at Vinton for Paul Nielsen, Drowning Victim
Paul Nielsen
Vinton, Ia. — Burial services were Friday afternoon in Evergreen cemetery for Paul Nielsen, 54, Vinton laborer, whose body was found in the Cedar river across from the disposal plant at the lower end of Riverside park late Thursday by Weldon Hays.
Coroner John Burrows decided that Nielsen had drowned accidentally and believed that the body had been in the water about 24 hours.
Nielsen was last seen alive Wednesday evening.
The drowned man had lived here about five years. Recently he had been in failing health.
He was born in Denmark Mar. 29, 1891.
Surviving is one brother, Peter Reinbeck.
