August Muschaweck Dies At Hospital, Lifelong Citizen
August Muschaweck
August Muschaweck, 90, life-long resident of Benton Township, died Sunday afternoon at the Vinton Hospital following an illness of several weeks. He had been a patient in the hospital five days.
Mr. Muschaweck was born January 9, 1865, on the farm in Benton township north of Shellsburg where he lived his entire lifetime. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wolfgang Muschaweck.
Mr. Muschaweck married Ina Nead near Robins, Ia, April 15, 1909. They farmed in Benton township all their life. He was a member of the Oak Grove Cristian Church.
Surviving are his widow, a son Roy, who lives in the Benton township community, two daughers, Mrs. Clarence Fetherkile of Vinton and Mrs. Marvin Bradley of Palo, and five grandchildren. A daughter, brother and seven sisters preceded him in death. He was the last of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Fry and Holland funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in McBroom Cemetery near Shellsburg...

Mrs. A. Muschaweck 72, Dies; Funeral Services Set Tuesday

Mrs. Augustine Muschaweck, 72, a resident of Benton township, died Friday at the Vinton hospital following a cerebral hemorrhage suffered a week ago.
She was born November 21, 1888 in Linn county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nead. She married August Muschaweck, April 15, 1909. He died January 30, 1955.
Surviving are three children, Roy of rural Vinton, Mrs. Olive Fetherkile of rural Vinton, and Mrs. Hester Bradley of Palo, five grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Minne Martin of Cedar Rapids, and a brother Louis Nead of Montana. She spent her lifetime in the area where she was born.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in the Fry and Holland funeral home. Rev. Roy Raymond will officiate. Burial will be in McBroom cemetery in Benton Township...

Mary Muschaweck, 9 Months of Age, Dies
Mary Jane Muschaweck
Mary Jane Muschaweck, nine months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Muschaweck of Vinton, died unexpectedly this morning at her home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Fry and Holland funeral home with Rev. Bernard W. Bruch in charge. Burial will be in McBroom cemetery in Benton Township.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday. The little girl was born May 19, 1956. Surviving are her parents, a sister, Ruth Ann, 12, a brother, Albert 9; her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Demmel of Vinton and Mrs. August Muschaweck of Benton Township. She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Richard Lee, who died at birth.
