Newhall-Eleanor Mae McAllister Mundorf, age 79 died Sunday morning, January 1, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar rapids following a brief illness. Private Graveside Services will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg... Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton is in charge of arrangements.
Eleanor was born September 8, 1926 at Shellsburg to Reuben and Helen (Bixby) Senft and graduated from the Shellsburg High School, she married Robert McAllister and he preceded her in death.
For several years, Eleanor was employed as a sales clerk at Armstrong's Dept Store in Cedar Rapids and her last employment was as a Shellsburg School Cook. She was a member of the Shellsburg legion auxiliary and the Eastern Star...
She is survived by her son Robert McAllister of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Donna (Tom) Lamb of Chelsea; her grandchildren, Rob, Jeff, Jason, Stacy, Doug, Jenny, and Michael McAllister, and Dan and Dana Walters; many great-grandchildren; her brother George Senft of Columbia, SC; her niece Stefanie Senft and her nephew, Jim swope.
In addition to her husband, Robert, her parents; her sister, Gladys Yates; her grandson, Tim McAllister, and her granddaughter, Kimberly Walters preceded her in death...
