Clarence (Dutch) Milne Dies at Vinton Hospital
Clarence (Dutch) Milne
Dysart-Clarence (Dutch) Milne, 73, died Thursday night at the Vinton hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Monroe Township, Benton County, on March 17, 1899, a son of James N. and Christine Steeple Milne. He was married December 24, 1919 to Gladys Angel and they farmed in Monroe Township 38 years before moving to Dysart in July 1964.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Bauer of LaPorte City and Mrs. Charles Arp of Quasqueton; two sons, Clyde of Vinton and James F. of Waterloo; one brother Clifford of Webster, Wisc.; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter and one siter.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Overton Funeral Home, with Rev. David Watertown officiating. Burial will be in the Rampton Cemetery

James M. Milne, 90, Dysart, Dies, Rites To Be Held Saturday
James M. Milne
Dysart-James M. Milne, 90, a longtime resident of this community died Wednesday at the G and G nursing home here.
He was a son of the late Andrew and Jane Stringer Milne of rural Dysart March 20, 1871. His wife, the former Christine Steppel proceded him in death in 1906. He retired to Dysart in 1924, after farming near this community for several years.
Two sons, Clarence of Waterloo and Clifford of Webster, Wisconsin and a brother G. H. Milne of Dysart are listed as survivors.
Four brothers and three sister also preceded Mr. Milne in death.
Services will be Saturday September 2, at 2 p.m. at the Overton funeral home here, with Rev. E.E. Bayse in charge. Burial will be in Rampton Cemetery
