Vinton - Mrs. Lydia Mills, 55, resident of the Vinton area for 16 years, Saturday at University Hospital, Iowa City, of diabetes and a heart ailment; funeral Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from Vinton Trinity Lutheran church; burial in Watkins cemetery, Benton county; nee Lydia Possehl, Aug. 3, 1984 [1894], to Charles and Louisa Possehl at Watkins; married at Marengo, Jan. 15, 1916, to Earl R. Mills; leaves husband; five surviving children, Mrs. George Halstead, Vinton; Miss Inez Mills, Wakins [sic]; Mrs. J. L. Stephens, Waterloo; Mrs. Dean Stephens, La Porte City; Dale Mills, Vinton; six brothers and sisters, Gus and Arthur Possehl, Waterloo, George, Vinton; Mrs. William Seckel and Mrs. George Schultz, Marengo, and Mrs. Pearl Rabe, Vinton; three grandchildren.
