Funeral services for Arrazeta Krieger, 94, Mason City, were held at Wayside Chapel, First United Methodist church, Mason City at 10 a.m. on Oct.23. The Rev. Charles Q. Wallace of the First United Methodist church officiated. Burial was Oak Hill cemetery, Belle Plaine.
She died Oct. 20, 1986, at American Nursing Home, Mason City.
She was born October 27,1891, at Belle Plaine, the daughter of Henry and Hattie Cook Krieger. The family moved to Dumont from Belle Plaine in 1902. In 1908 she graduated from Dumont high school. She graduated from Cedar Falls Teachers College in 1931. She taught rural school near Dumont for three years, three years at Aplington and three more years at Hampton. In 1919 she moved to Mason City and taught for four years at Grant school and then for 35 years at Wilson school.
She retired in 1958 after teaching for 58 years. She and her sister, Geneva, toured over 115 countries, dating back from 1924 through 1971.
She was a member of the First United Methodist church, Executive Club, life member of the Century club, life member of N.E.A. and member of the state I.S.T.A..
She is survived by several cousins.

Henry Krieger
Henry Krieger passed away July 21st at the Mercy Hospital in Mason City, one week after an operation from toxic poisoning and other complications. His health had been failing for the past two years. He was nearly 79 years of age.
He was born on August 12, 1858 on the land where Belle Plaine is now located. His father William Krieger, and mother Catherine Krieger preceded him in death in his early manhood. He then made his home with Samuel Smith and wife of Belle Plaine
On April 20,1885 he was married to Hattie Cook. Two daughters, Geneva and Arrazeta were born to this union. He was employed as a tinner in the C.P.Hosmer Hardware store
In 1902 he moved to Dumont, Iowa where he was employed in a hardware store until the death of his wife May 30, 1925. That same year he retired and moved with his daughters to Mason City, where they are employed as teachers in the public schools
Services were held in Belle Plaine Saturday July 23 at the Driscoll Funeral Home. The Rev. Galbraith of the First Methodist Church of Mason City was in charge. Burial was in Oak Hill. Pallbearers were Messers W.M. Wright,John Share, Isaac Burgett, Levi Sparrowgrove, and George Ridenour
Those coming from a distance besides the daughters for the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs.W.D. Sparrowgrove, Mrs. Grant Stewart of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. George Milverstend of Fairmont, Minn. and a number of friends of the family from Mason City
Besides his two daughters he leaves to mourn his loss, two cousins, Mrs. Chas Mether of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Lena Cook of Waverly, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends
He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of Dumont Iowa, the I.O.O.F. Encampment at Clarksville Iowa and Mystic Order of Samaritans at Mason City.
