Austin Kleppe
Austin Kleppe died at his home north of town, March 19th. He had been in poor health the past two years. He leaves his widow and children, Mrs. Nettie (sic) Longfield, Mina, Herman, Victor, Berger and Morris to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted from the Norwegian church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Sandven of Roland, Iowa, officiating. Interment in the Norway cemetery.

Berthine Kleppe
Berthine Kleppe, widow of Austin Kleppe, died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Birger Kleppe, 733 First Avenue SW, at 9 a.m. Monday following a lingering illness. Born in Novway Dec. 20, 1872, she came directly to Norway, Ia., 47 years ago. For the last seven years she had been a resident of Cedar Rapids. Her husband died March 19, 1922.
Surviving are four sons, Herman, Victor, Birger and Morris, all of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. Nellis Longfield, Atkins; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Mina E. Norris, died April 6, 1941.
Services will be held in the Polansky funeral chapel at a time to be announced later.
