Mrs. Leah Funk Buried at Nashua

Nashua, Ia. May 15
The funeral of Mrs. Leah Funk, mother of Joseph Funk, a prominent stock dealer of this city, was held in the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. yesterday. Rev. W. A. Smith of Rockwell had charge of the services.
Deceased was born in Lewiston, Pa., May 10, 1831, being 81 years old at the time of her death. She married to Joseph Funk at Keosauqua,Ia. in 1851, and shortly after they moved back to Pennsylvania, where they resided until 1854 when they again moved to Iowa, locating at Blairstown, where they lived until 1881. They then came to this locality. Her husband died in 1895, since when she made her home with her son, Joseph Funk, Jr., in this city. She was the mother of seven children, only three of whom are now living. They are Joseph Funk and Mrs. Harriet A. Sommers of the city and W. D. Funk of Bloomfield, Neb.
Deceased was a consistent Christian and faithful member of the Methodist church of this city.
