Elizabeth Frese Died at Her Home - Had Been Ill for Seven Months

Elizabeth Frese passed away at her home in Norway, May 20, at 12:30 p.m., after a lingering illness of seven months.
She was born July 7, 1877, at Norway. Her parents were Charles and Mary Schulte. She was married May 18, 1896, to Henry Frese in the St. Michaels church.
Surving are George Frese of Cedar Rapids, Charles Frese of Amana, Arthur and Delbert Frese of Watkins, Lucile Rottger of Norway, Margaret Himmselbeck of Watkins and Armella Hinkel of Marengo. Also surviving are six brothers and five sisters, 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her husband passed away July 25, 1949, at Norway. She spent most of her life on a farm, moving to her present home in February, 1946. She was a member of Social Rosary Circle.
Services were held in St. Michaels church Saturday, May 23. Rev. Everett Frese, a nephew, conducted services. Music was furnished by church choir. Burial was in the St. Michael's cemetery.
Those attending services from elsewhere were: Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pettinger, Mary Leuhrsmann and Dorothy of Dyersville, Mrs. Pete Meir of Battle Creek, and Mrs. Mary Sanders and daughter of Danbury.

George Frese Passes Away
George Frese
George Frese, aged 75, died at his home here at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 1937, from a lingering heart ailment.
Mr. Frese was born on a farm two miles northwest of town on Feb. 22, 1862, and has been a resident of this community all his life. On Feb. 7, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Behle and located on a farm three miles north of Watkins, where they lived until twenty-one years ago, when they moved to Norway. To this union there daughters were born. His wife and one daughter, Mrs. C.C. Schulte, preceded him in death. His granddaughter, Dorothy Schulte, has kept house for him since the death of his wife, and given him every care possible. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Schulte of Norway and Mrs. J.C. Becker of Watkins, twenty-three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, two brothers, John and Henry of Norway.
Funeral services were held at St. Michael's church at 9:00 a.m. Saturday conducted by Rev. Wm. Kunkel. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery north of town.
