WAS NEARING EIGHTIETH YEAR Mrs. Charles Dumnlar, Bedfast All Summer. End Came Tuesday
Mrs. Charles Dumnlar
At the family home in the east part of the city, Mrs. Charles Dumnlar passed away following a lingering illness from which she had been bedfast all summer.
The deceased was a native of Germany, having been born at Copenhagen in November 1841 and at the time of her death was nearing her 79th birthday. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson.
For a number of years she made her home on a farm in Big Grove township and it was there in April 1892 that she was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Dumnlar, who survives her, there having been no children to the union. Thirteen years ago the family came to this city and it has been the family home since. The deceased was a woman of excellent qualities and was much esteemed among her friends and associates.
The funeral was held from the home Thursday afternoon and was in charge of the Rev. G. Schroeder pastor of the German Lutheran church of Lucerne, the deceased having been a life long member of the Lutheran church. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
