Was Wife of Former Belle Plaine Railroad Official
Mrs. C. M. Dickinson, former resident of this city passed away at Cedar Rapids on Friday evening, March 18, after a long illness for the relief of which she had submitted to an operation on Tuesday previous to her death.
Mrs. Dickinson made her home in this city a few years ago at the time her husband was located here. The latter is now trainmaster for tho C. & N. W. Ry. at Cedar Rapids.
Alice M. Willis was born at Monmouth, Ill., on July 4th, 1879 and was married to C. M. Dickinson, November 23rd, 1897 at Clinton, Iowa, where they resided for a number of years. She was a member of tho Congregational Church and the Lady Maccbeths of that city.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. E. B. Johnson and Mrs. B. W. Nelson, both of Minneapolis, who were at her bedside when she passed away. There is also one brother, Mila Willis of Boone, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the Weymer Chapel in Cedar Rapids on Monday at 11:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. William Lee. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery at Cedar Rapids. The following officials of the Northwestern Railroad acted as pall bearers, H. P. Martin, H. J. Peters of Cedar Rapids, A. R. Pelner of Chicago, L. A. Clapp of Boone, H. W. Williams of Clinton and C. W. Beck of Tama.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Herejk of this city accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Toening of Boone were at Cedar Rapids to attend the funeral services.
