MRS. BURKART DIES AT E. AMOS COUNTRY HOME

Urbana, Sept 28 -- Mrs. Sarah Burkart, 83, widow of Joe Burkart, died this morning at eight o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elias Amos northwest of Urbana, where she had made her home the last eight years. She had been bedfast three years from the infirmities of old age. Mr. Burkart died last May.
Service will be held Wednesday [30 Sep 1931] afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Amos home and burial will be at Center Point. Children surviving the mother are: Charles Burkart of Estherville, John, George and Joe Burkart, Mrs. Frank Linsey, Mrs. Joe Pettit, and Mrs. Douglas Linsey, of Vinton, and Mrs. Elias Amos of Urbana.

W. BURKART DIES AT DAUGHTERS COUNTRY HOME
William Willey Burkart
Urbana -- William Burkart, 83 years old, a resident of Vinton following his retirement from a Benton county farm, died at midnight last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elias Amos in Polk township northwest of Urbana. His health had been failing the last five years and death was caused by heart disease and dropsy.
Services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p. m. at the Amos residence, and burial will be at Center Point. The aged wife of Mr. Burkart has been bedfast two years. In recent years the father and mother have lived with the Amos family. Mr. Burkart was a native of Indiana and would have been 83 on May 24.
Besides the widow the following children are living: Charles Burkart of Estherville, John, George and Joseph Burkart, Mrs. Jos. Pettit, Mrs. Frank Linsey, and Mrs. Douglas Linsey, of Vinton, and Mrs. Elias Amos.
