RITES AT VlNTON FOR 97-YEAR-OLD WOMAN
Elender Jane Bumgardner
Vinton, la.— Funeral services were here Saturday, for Mrs. Elender Jane Bumgardner, 97, one of Benton county's oldest residents, who died Thursday at Virginia Gay hospital.
She was born May 31, 1848, in Illinois, and came to Linn county, Iowa, when a small child. She was married to Samuel A. Bumgardner Jan. 1, 1867, at Center Point. They came to Vinton at, once to make their home.
Mr. Bumgardner died, June 3, 1918.
Deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry White of Vinton. She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, brother, two half brothers, and two-sisters.
She was a member of Presbyterian church and charter member of Woman's Relief corps.
