Mrs. Mary J. Blair Dies at Minneapolis; Burial on Thursday

Funeral services will be held here at 2:00p.m. Thursday from the Fry funeral home at 2:30 p.m. from the Bear Creek Church for Mrs. Mary J. Blair, 89, a former Harrison Township resident who died today at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Charlotte Beeman of Minneapolis, Minn. Burial will be made in the Bear Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Blair was born April 6, 1849, at Black River, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac O'Hara. She was married to Alfred Samuel Blair and moved to Benton County in 1868, farming in Harrison Township for 25 years. She was baptized in the Church of Christ but later became affiliated with Jehovah's Witness. Her husband died in 1929.
Surviving are two sons, Leslie J. and Carl I. Blair both of Cedar Rapids and one sister Mrs. Elizabeth Wheeler, Des Moines. Two children, Mrs. A.R. Pardun and Mrs. Edna Davidson, preceded her in death.
