Hazel Leath Benfer
Vinton - Mrs. Hazel Leath Benfer, 51, Tuesday at her home near Vinton following a lingering illness; she had been bedfast since last Christmas; born Apr. 29, 1893, at Cedar Rapids, to Mr. and Mrs. Milton L. Dunston; on Apr. 26, 1910, she was married to Leslie H. Benfer; lived in this community all her life; leaves husband, her mother, Mrs. Jessie Dunston, and three children, Donavan, Vinton; Mrs. Marcella Jackson, Cedar Rapids, and Beverly Ann, at home; four grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Karl Henrikson, Clifford, Elsie and Roy Dunston, all of Vinton; one son, Stanley, preceded her in death; member of the Church of Christ; funeral, 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Alcorn funeral home; burial in Evergreen cemetery.
