Hugo P. Arp
NORWAY: Hugo P. Arp, 83, retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Norway area, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids.
He was born Sept. 15, 1903 in Fairfax, and married Leova Schmidt on June 11, 1929 in Watkins. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic church, Walford, and a member of St. Joseph's Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters of Norway.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Audrey Tuttle of Milwaukee, Wis.; four sons, Leon, Blacksburg, VA; Kenneth, Amana; Regis, Fairfax, and Al, Palo; a brother, Louis, Amana; 16 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
A prayer service was held and the rosary recited...by the Foresters.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Holy Trinity Catholic church, Walford, by the Rev. Francis Perry. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery, Norway.
