Richard Alverson
Services for Richard "Dick" Alverson, 76, of 2809 Thirty-third St., who died of cancer Friday at his home, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.
Mr. Alverson was born in Maxwell and had lived in Des Moines 38 years. He was a retired funeral director's assistant for Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home, a veteran of World War II, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Beaverdale Veterans of Foreign Wars.
