FUNERAL SERVICES AT BROTHER'S HOME. Sudden Death of Hartwig Albers of Near Keystone, Caused by Ruptured Blood Vessel

The funeral of the late Hartwig Albers, whose death occurred last week Sunday, was held Thursday from the home of John Albers in Keystone. Rev. Christensen conducted the services and the interment was in the Kirchner cemetery.
Mr. Albers death occurred Sunday evening at the H.W. Thiessen home in Keystone. He came to town Saturday from his country home, intending to spend the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Thiessen. He seemed in his usual health until after the evening meal.
The guests were engaged in a social game of cards when he became suddenly ill and a physician was called. Before his arrival Mr. Albers had sunk into an unconscious condition. It was found that a blood vessel had been ruptured near the brain and the left side of his body was paralyzed. The patient did not regain consciousness before death.
Mr. Albers was born on the 18th day of April, 1854 at St. Margarethen, Holstein, Germany, and immigrated in this country in 1874. He leave six grown children, four sons, and 2 daughters. His wife preceded him in death nineteen years ago. He leaves five brothers and three sister. One brother John, and two sisters, Mrs. Thies Seeck and Mrs. Claus Franzenburg, live at Keystone, while the others are still resident of Germany.
